Promotions: What you need to Know…

1. To be considered for promotion, request forms must be submitted to the Vice President for Academic and Student Affairs (VPAA) on or before February 1st.

2. Promotion applications are submitted to a Faculty Promotions Selection Committee comprised of 3 members from the department, related department or related discipline.

3. The Promotion Committee evaluates and forwards eligible applications, with official supporting materials, (promotion packet) to the VPAA by March 1st.

4. The VPAA submits their recommendations and the Dean's recommendations to the President.

5. The President forwards their recommendation to the Board of Trustees whose decisions are final.

6. Application rejections, at any step of the review process, are submitted in writing to the applicant.
