Sounds good, right? Sign me up! The application process though, can seem daunting. While, yes, the contractual Sabbatical process looks complicated, actually, it is not as cumbersome as it seems and the contractual benefit is well worth the effort.

The process, more simply stated, is as follows:

1. Every 7 years a Sabbatical Leave application may be submitted.

2. Notice of eligibility is sent to the faculty each fall semester.

3. This year, applications must be filed by December 5th.

4. Statement of specific study/research purpose must be made.

5. Requests can be made for one semester or one full year.

6. Completed applications are submitted to the Sabbatical Leave Committee.

7. The Sabbatical Leave Committee presents the applicants to the President to be sent to the Board

of Trustees.

8. Notifications of Sabbatical Leave are made to applicants by April 15th

9. Upon return, a report encompassing the purpose for leave is submitted to the Dean and the

Committee.
